The Delhi Capitals and Royal Challengers Bangalore are two big names in the men’s and women’s IPL, respectively. Royal Challengers Bangalore elected to bowl first. Delhi Capitals Women’s Innings
Meg Lanning and Shefali Verma opened the inning for the Delhi Capitals. However, this opening duo has given the team the best start. Moreover, their innings helped the Delhi Capitals project a big score on the scoreboard. Meg Lanning scored 72 runs on 43 hits with 14 fours in the inning. Furthermore, her strike rate was 167.44. On the other end, Shefali Verma also played an exceptional inning for the team. She scored 84 runs in 45 balls. Her inning includes 10 fours and 4 sixes. Moreover, her strike rate is 186.67.
However, in the 15th over inning of Meg Lanning, she was bowled by HC Knight, and in the same over, the innings of Shefali Verma also came to an end. She was caught by Richa Gosh on the bowl of HC Knight.
After the fall of these two wickets in the same innings, Marizanne Kapp came to bat at number 4 and Jemimah Rodrigues at number 5.
